October 31, 2008
Although one could exercise their abdominal muscles for an extended period of time, if you have excess fatty tissue they will remain invisible. Because the fat stores mainly in your abdominal area, that is where it’s the hardest to burn the fat.
No magical solution exists, and there aren’t any special exercises or machines that will get you ripped abs. It is must to bring your fat to 10% approximately to get perfect results, when you do this unknowingly that will be a challenging job.
Adhering to simple guidelines that allow effective burning of excess fat around your stomach is the correct way to achieve a six-pack. This will help to show your hidden abdominal muscles and let your six pack be seen.
The only way to get ripped six pack abs and to effectively lose the extra fat around your stomach is to maintain a healthy diet, over 90% of your results will begin to show from what you eat. Tight restrictions never work to remove body fat, so you need to maximize your metabolism, so you can eat and burn fat. That means eating smaller meals more often. The consistent digestion of these foods will actually stimulate your metabolism to increase.
There are a lot of processed foods and you may be a junkie with them. The problem is that they’re full of chemicals that actually slow down the process of losing fat. Stick with real food and you’ll have real results.
To breakdown unwanted body fat and flush it from your body drink lots of water. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day helps your body digest foods, absorb nutrients and also flushes toxins from your body.
High intensity cyclic training has many benefits over normal endurance style cardio workouts and it is much more effective in building muscle and losing weight. It increases your overall metabolic rate and helps you burn fat even when your workout is over. You should perform 20 mins of high intensity interval training around 4-5 times a week.
In order to develop ripped and defined six pack abs quickly, one must follow a system which combines Cardio Workouts, Weight Training and a diet to lose fat in an effective balance.

Supplement With Protein To Supercharge Muscle Growth
October 31, 2008
If you’re like most of the people that buy a gym membership and do a bodybuilding workout every day like mad for the first few weeks only to drop off because you don’t see any results then listen up. The reason you didn’t see any muscle on your body, the reason you didn’t see any results isn’t because you didn’t work out hard enough, it’s not because you didn’t lift enough weight. It's not that you were'nt working out hard enough; it's just that you weren't giving your body the protein it needs to grow. Read on to discover how and when to supplement with protein to experience some huge gains that will have people in the gym looking twice at you.
The thing you have to understand about protein is this. Your muscles are made up of two things. Water and protein and your body needs and uses protein to rebuild and maintain your muscles after your gym workouts. Another common misconception out there is that your muscles grow when you workout in the gym. That’s just not true. Your muscles don't grow while you're in the gym. Quite the opposite actually. When you’re in the gym working out you’re actually breaking down and tearing your muscles. Your muscles don't grow in the gym they grow outside of it and that's where protein comes in.
Your body needs protein to rebuild your muscles after a workout. If you work out hard enough you break down, stretch and tear your muscles and if you feed your muscles protein right after your workout they will rebuild and grow back bigger! The best time to drink a protein shake/supplement is right after your workout within 30 minutes of your last rep. This is the ideal time to supplement with protein and if you’re serious about adding some muscle to your body then you can’t be missing this opportunity. The 30 minutes folllowing your exercise routine is known as the "Post Workout Window Of Opportunity" in bodybuilding circles because of the trememndous results you can achieve by supplementing with protein at this time. The best bodybuilding supplements have double the amount of carbohydrates over protein as ingredients. After your workout your stomach is likely on empty and consuming carbohydrates along with the protein will ensure that your body has something to burn for fuel (carbs) and also that the protein will be saved for your muscles.
Drink the same protein/carbohydrate shake mix first thing in the morning as soon as you get up. You do this because you most likely didn’t wake up in the middle of the night to eat so you’re likely hungry when you wake up. First thing in the morning there's already a good chance that your body is already tapping into your fat and muscle for energy and that means you need to consume protein and carbohydrates ASAP. Cottage cheese and a cold glass of non fat milk will alleviate this situation. Both contain casein protein which is slowly digested into your body making it a natural time released protein.
To summarize. After your exercise routine, a protein shake is a must. Protein shake first thing in the morning. Milk and cottage cheese at night before you go to bed. Eating balanced meals that contain both protein and carbohydrates is essential throughout the day. Your goal should be to consume one gram of protein for every pound you weigh. Remember your muscles need protein to grow so give them plenty of protein and plenty of water. Add this to your workout plan and watch your muscle gains skyrocket.

Shiatsu Massage Chair Recliner Review of the Panasonic EP30003 TU
October 31, 2008
This is a review of the Panasonic EP 30003 Real Pro Ultra massage chair. Our system of massage chair review is based on 5 categories. We give each category equal weight of up to 20 points. We add them all up to give a possible score of 100 points. This systematic approach helps guide users by giving apples to apples comparisons of different massage chairs and manufacturers. Let us take an in-depth look at the midrange model EP 30003 Real Pro Ultra by Panasonic.
Warranty & Customer Service: After sale support and service is important for your longer term peace of mind. Each manufacturer is different. Panasonic has 3 year parts and 1 year labor. Panasonic has integrated an hour counter mechanism. This hour counter tracks how long the chair is used. Panasonic gives 1,000 hours of warranty coverage with this counter. The warranty coverage ends after 1,000 hours of usage. You may need to consider an extended warranty with this chair to match some of the other chair brands. We rate it a 16 for this category.
Comfort & Ergonomics: Ergonomics is the practical element of design for comfort and fit of the body. The massage chair is built for relaxation, so the design must assist in getting the user comfortable and within reach. Panasonic takes ergonomics serious and does a solid job with the Real Pro Ultra. The back pad is plush, with an adjustable head pillow. The armrests are padded. The remote is fairly simple and intuitive for a massage chair. One area that is lacking is a footrest extension. This chair was not originally designed for the American market, so taller users may not fit as well. We rate this chair as a 17 for ergonomics. The head pillow can be adjusted to fit different heights of users. The arm rests are padded and are fairly wide. The footrest does not extend, so this can be problematic for taller users. Taller users would have to bend their knees to get a foot massage or extend the footrest horizontal to and put their legs through. Our rating in this category is 17.
Ease of Use: With more and more features, options and choices being offered in massage chairs, ease of use is important. Some remote controls are clustered with a mind boggling array of controls. The problem is to learn all these options. The top manufacturers design controls and adjustments to be intuitive and easy to understand and use. Panasonic has vast experience with electronics and uses that to keep its controls simple and intuitive. The control is well designed and the descriptions accurate to keep learning fast. We rate it an 18 for this category.
Key Features: The Real Pro Ultra by Panasonic has an pressure point sensor and the exclusive Junetsu massage therapy. The human body has around 350 pressure points. There are almost 100 for the back, neck and shoulders. The EP 30003 has a body scan to sense these pressure points. It then tailors the shiatsu style massage to the individual user. Panasonic also developed the Junetsu massage therapy into this model. The Junetsu uses firm pressure with a penetrating circular motion for the back. This is a unique massage offered only by Panasonic. We give the EP 30003 an 18 in this category.
Massage Therapy: The lower body air massage has 14 strategically placed air bags. These air bags cover the calves and feet. It also includes the foot reflexology massage. The really fine kneading is a new feature by Panasonic called Junetsu. This massage penetrates deeply providing effective relief. At the top of the control there are 5 automatic programs which include: Refresh, Shiatsu, Deep, Swedish and Stretch. You can also select from 4 manual massage techniques and choose 4 manual massage courses. Manual controls include tapping, kneading, rolling and combination. This midrange model scores a 19 rating.
Ok, the moment of truth. The overall rating for the Panasonic EP 30003 is an 88/100. This is a solid rating for a solid chair. The Real Pro Ultra is a good performer in the mid range massage chair market. The reflexology foot massage and the addition of Junetsu massage is great value at this price point. The warranty is OK. You would hope for better protection from Panasonic, so check out an extended warranty. This is a long term investment for your health. If you are tall, then you may want to try this chair to see how well you fit. If you are looking for a mid range shiatsu massage chair recliner then this could be a good choice for you.

Working With a Sport Drink That Has Well Rounded Ingredients Is Important for Your Hydration
October 30, 2008
When you want to challenge yourself physically by engaging in a tough workout session, it is really essential that you take steps to be sure your system stays hydrated. Good hydration will protect your cardiovascular system and it will also eliminate the possibility of becoming overheated. Consuming a quality sport drink can go a long way in making sure that you not only have the fluids you need, but that your body gets other key elements as well.
Some of the other components in a well made energy sports drink are the combination of carbohydrates and electrolytes. Making sure that you have both of these important elements in your sports beverage will assure that your body can quickly and efficiently re-hydrate. This will give you the ability to carry on with your workout at a solid level of intensity and will also assist in augmenting your endurance.
During a workout an athlete burns glycogen, which is what helps supply energy to the muscles. The carbohydrates found in a good sport drink are intended to help replace what is used up during exercise. It doesn’t take much, and the correct concentration of carbs is about six to eight percent.
Prior to the era of the various choices in sports drinks, such as are present in the open market nowadays, numerous athletic people just carried around a soda with sugar in it that they let the fizz go out of." In fact, there are many who don't want to spend the money on what they see as "designer" drink and still hit the gym or the track with a flat bottle of soda at their side. The problem with these kinds of "makeshift" energy drinks is that the concentration level of carbs is simply too high.
Any type of drink, whether a sport beverage designed specifically for the purpose, a soda, or a home-made concoction made following free drink recipes, is likely to cause upset and stomach cramping during workouts if the sports beverage contains more than eight percent carbohydrates. Unfortunately, in order to pander to the palate, some of the energy sports drinks on the market go over this limit, and sometimes by a considerable amount.
However carbohydrates are significant. At the proper concentration level, they help the body to absorb the fluids and re-hydrate itself about 30 times faster than by drinking plain water. This is really helpful in situations when you have been pushing your limits and need to restore your hydration quickly. Yet, if there is an excess of sugar in the mix of a sports drink, it has the propensity to hamper the process and also has the ability to actually slow down the bodies absorption of fluids.
Any quality sports drink also contains the electrolytes that your body loses through the process of sweating. Electrolytes are minerals and the four most commonly used in an electrolyte sports drink are sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium. The sodium is also very beneficial in helping your body to regain the necessary hydration levels for continued performance.
Overall, a good quality, well-balanced sport drink, such as the Accelerade sports drink, will provide athletes with a small energy boost, a leveling out of energy for added endurance, and better absorption of fluids, as compared to plain water. These sports beverage drinks are used most during and after long and intense workout sessions and should be sipped throughout the activity when possible.
Well, it is almost swimsuit season and it is time to break out of that winter body and find the body you have always wanted. Nutritional drinks and shakes may be the very ticket to a leaner, more muscular body that you have always dreamed of having. In what way will you accomplish this? One of the end results of sports drinks is that you get the necessary calories as well as the nutrients your body requires while at the same time furnishing the vitamins as well as the proteins, yet not have to suffer any of the unwanted carbohydrates and fats. They help you to maintain hydration as well as making you prepared to get back into shape. Explaining Cancer Treatments
October 30, 2008
If you or a loved one has recently been diagnosed with cancer, then the discussion has mostly been regarding recommended cancer treatments, side effects, and efficacy. There are a number of cancer treatment options available, including alternative or natural cancer treatments, invasive and non-invasive procedures, chemotherapy, radiation, or a combination. Not every cancer treatment works the same for every patient. It depends a great deal on what type of cancer has been diagnosed, how much it has progressed, and what type of cancer treatments are effective at that particular stage.
Some people opt not to proceed with any type of cancer treatment, which is also their choice. If the going through all the pain and suffering just isn’t worth it to them for whatever reason, they are allowed to make this decision. Some aggressive cancers have advanced so quickly that whatever type of therapy chosen may just not be able to stop the cancer from spreading, or it has progressed so far that treatment is not even an option.
Most types of cancers are treated with chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is not just one drug, but a cocktail of drugs that can include any of 100 different medicines. The actual chemotherapy cocktail is usually determined by the patient’s type of cancer as well as how advanced the progression of the cancer is. Chemotherapy is usually a good approach since it will eradicate cancer in any part of the body that is supplied by blood vessels, which is also how cancer spreads.
Chemotherapy can be administered orally, intramuscularly, or intravenously, and be taken daily, weekly, or monthly. Unfortunately, some side effects are common with chemotherapy, but there are new cancer drugs being developed all the time that work to reduce side effects and make chemotherapy more bearable. Chemotherapy is usually the first step in cancer treatment, before surgery or other more aggressive options are chosen, unless of course there is no choice.
There are also a number of alternative cancer treatments that are very effective when used in conjunction with traditional approaches. Some of these alternative therapies include herbal supplements like various herbal remedies, but care must be taken to not use these treatments in any other way than prescribed, and plenty of research should be conducted first to make sure it’s not just a scam.
It is important during the course of your cancer treatment to advise your doctor of any and all medications you may be taking, whether they are herbal or medical. There are many medications that you may be taking at one time and you will want to make sure that none of them interfere with each other, and that all of them are working together to give you the best chance of beating this disease.
